The Role

Reporting to the Technical Lead in the Engaging Experiences, Technology team, you will play a key role in designing and delivering software solutions that help run our Betting platforms.

About You

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement best coding practices and design patterns for scalable and maintainable code.
• Utilize Spring Boot framework for efficient Java-based backend development.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless communication between services.
• Implement and manage containerisation technologies like Docker for consistent deployment across environments.
• Follow test-driven development (TDD) approach to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Adhere to agile methodologies and participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Work on cross-domain, multi-functional projects, collaborating with frontend developers, designers, and product managers.
• Contribute to technical documentation, including API specifications and system architecture diagrams.
• Follow build and support model and be part of the support roster.

Your background:

• Back-end development experience using Java.
• Experience in developing and maintaining robust backend systems using micro-service architecture.
• Experience in (CI/CD) pipelines, GitHub/Jenkins for collaborative development and code review.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and infrastructure as code.
• Ideally some experience in cross domain, multi-functional projects.
• Familiarity with all stages of product, platform and system lifecycles.
• Exposure to classic and modern software development and delivery techniques.
