Job Description:
The Team:
North West Regional Hospital is the major teaching hospital in the North West of Tasmania. It is supported by the Royal Hobart Hospital and Launceston General Hospital. The Emergency Department Transition Program EDTP is an innovative program that is run through NWRH. You will join an experienced team of award-winning educators in this dynamic role.
The Role:
Clinical Facilitators support learners in the Emergency Department. This role is part of the education team and is a shift work position.
- You will be a Registered Nurse with/or substantial progress towards postgraduate qualification in a relevant area.
You will need:
- Emergency Department experience including triage and resus
- The ability provide evidence-based emergency care
- The willingness to support learners at all stages of clinical development from undergraduate students to experienced nurses

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, shift worker position (fully rotational), working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $96,855 to $104,753 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013
Allowances:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
- Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
