Job Description:
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced enrolled nurse to join our dynamic multidisciplinary Rehabilitation team located at the Mersey Community Hospital.
The successful applicant will provide direct patient/client centred nursing care to assigned patients/clients, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/midwife.

The Team:
The Rehabilitation Service Unit consists of a highly skilled and knowledgeable multidisciplinary team, including Rehabilitation nurses, and Rehabilitation assistants. Our Rehabilitation staff are dedicated to enhancing their patients functional and cognitive abilities to improve independence and quality of life. We use an individualised patient centred approach that aims to meet the goals and outcomes mutually identified by the individual, their family, and therapy staff.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term, part time, shift worker position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from January 2025 until March 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $68,913 to $75,902 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
Allowances:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)
