The Role:
The Department of Health are seeking a dedicated Senior Physiotherapist to join our team in supporting community-based clients across the North West region of Tasmania.
The Senior Physiotherapist - Community:
- Provides physiotherapy care to predominantly outreach/community-based clients across North West Region of Tasmania. Service provision is provided in homes and may be centre based.
- Has experience in a wide range of physiotherapy domains, along with the ability to manage varied caseload independently
- Is autonomous with excellent time management skills to suit both clinical and non-clinical/administrative demands
- Has excellent communication skills to engage clients and carers in treatment plans and coordinate care within the broader multi-disciplinary team

The Team:
Our physiotherapy team works across three main sites on the North West Coast of Tasmania - Devonport, Latrobe and Burnie - servicing both acute and sub-acute community members. This role sits within our Community and Outpatient team, where you will have both senior and junior team members to work with. Our main outpatient sites are at Burnie and Devonport from where our Community services are based, with an Outreach service provided to our more regional areas including King Island, Smithton and Queenstown.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 68.4 hours per fortnight, commencing from January 2025
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,966 to $123,013 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Public Sector Union Wages Agreement
Allowances:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Current driver's license
