Job Description:
The Role:
The Mersey Community Hospital are seeking motivated Hospital Aides to join their team.
Under the general supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) and/or the Department Manager, the Hospital Aides will:
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment and adequate stock supply (excluding drugs) to enable clinical staff to deliver a high standard of care to patients in the ward/unit.
- Have direct contact with blood or body substances or infectious material, which needs to be considered in all tasks undertaken.

The Mersey Community Hospital integrated operations team are committed to excellence. We aim to provide safe and efficient care to all our region and are greatly assisted by our pool of casual staff.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term, casual, day work position, working as and when required, commencing from November for a period of 12 months.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar casual vacancies.
Salary: $58,184 to $59,580 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022
