About the opportunities

Casual academic employees are integral to the teaching and support activities of The University of Western Australia. Our casuals are engaged in a range of casual activities, including lecturing, tutoring, marking and lab demonstrations.

The University of Western Australia is a research-intensive academic organisation giving material expression to the belief that excellence in research underpins excellence in teaching and community partnerships.

The UWA Doctor of Optometry offers a postgraduate Doctor of Optometry (OD).

The position offered is negotiated between the casual academic employee and their supervisors and will be determined by the duties specified in their casual contract.

The Clinical Skills tutors will be responsible to the Course Director to provide academic teaching.

The appointee will be motivated to deliver quality teaching in Optometry. S/he will actively participate in teaching into the Doctor of Optometry course as a Clinical Skills Instructor.
