About the Role

Clinical Teaching Associates (CTAs) from the community are an integral part of the Department of Medical Education’s Sensitive Physical Examinations Program. CTAs are provided training to simulate patients for gynaecological and breast examinations. They assist with teaching medical students these essential sensitive examination skills, as well as communication and consent skills.

CTAs provide real-time feedback to students during examinations, ensuring best practice and patient-centred care.

Who We Are Looking For

You will possess biological female genital anatomy and breasts, be comfortable demonstrating and receiving several gynaecological and breast examinations during tutorials (the gynaecological and breast examinations occur on different days) , and have strong interpersonal, communication, and confidentiality skills.

You must be highly reliable, punctual, and willing to travel for tutorials, with experience in education or healthcare and performing to an audience being desirable.

All required training on the examinations, communication and consent skills will be provided.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
