About the Role and Service:

Department of Health are seeking motivated and experienced applicants for the role of Registered Nurse - Community to work for the Community Rapid Response Service - North West (ComRRS NW).

We are looking for Registered Nurses with demonstrated advanced clinical skills to work within a service model that requires a rapid acute response to those in the community with an acute illness or an exacerbation of a pre-existing complex or chronic condition. ComRRS NW is a community-based service designed to help clients avoid hospitals by collaborating closely with their GPs to provide essential care in the home (including RACF's) and community clinics. Within a dynamic team of experienced nursing staff, ComRRS NW provides a rapid acute response to those in the community with an acute illness, injury or exacerbation of a pre-existing complex/chronic condition. The service operates seven days a week for 0730-2130, delivering timely, complex, and client-centred care throughout the North West Coast of Tasmania.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time & part time shift-worker position working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from December 2024.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $75,902 - $102,908 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  2. Current Driver’s Licence

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
  1. crimes of violence
  2. sex related offences
  3. serious drug offences
  4. crimes involving dishonesty
  5. serious traffic offences
