About the Role
The Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Manager will play an impactful, purpose-driven role, leading a team of HSW advisors and driving health, safety and wellbeing activities across the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT). Working collaboratively with other FEIT teams and leaders, this position supports the alignment of the Faculy's Health, Safety and Wellbeing activities by developing appropriate solutions to a number of health, safety and wellbeing concerns.

Our ideal candidate is one with proven experience in developing, managing, and monitoring health, safety, and wellbeing programs. They will possess a deep understanding of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices, coupled with excellent leadership skills to motivate and mentor a team.

The role requires a strong client-centred approach to build partnerships and implement sustainable improvements in health and safety operations. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, alongside the ability to prioritise issues and create innovative solutions for operational improvement and risk mitigation, are essential.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
