Job Description:
  • Two part-time or full-time research assistant position working on medical artificial intelligence (LLM, generative AI, precision medicine, equitable AI) in medical images/text analysis is available to work/train under the supervision of Dr. Ruogu Fang (https://www.bme.ufl.edu/labs/fang/ruogu/index.html) at the University of Florida. Our group focuses on artificial intelligence (AI)-empowered brain health and neuroscience-inspired AI, by developing innovative and precision diagnosis and intervention tools using advanced machine learning techniques.

    Responsibilities will include (1) to build and develop a foundation artificial intelligence (AI) system for medical images, and (2) build text-image generative models for medical data. The successful candidates are expected to start on 11/1/2024. The candidate will be trained and will work under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigators (PI) and postdocs. The ideal candidate should be interested in AI/deep learning and medical data analysis.

Expected Salary:

$15-$18 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

B.S. or B.E. (or close to graduation) in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields. Candidates should have proficiency with Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Pytorch or Tensorflow
  • Experience with MATLAB preferred but not required
  • Experience with AI and deep learning
  • Experience with image processing preferred, but not required
