Job Description: |
Project Participation and Fieldwork Participate with field crews in vegetation and sediment monitoring across the Florida Panhandle. Conduct site assessments to evaluate the success of restoration efforts and identify areas for improvement. Collect and document field data, including plant species identification, sediment characteristics, and environmental conditions. Attend project team meetings to select restoration sites and develop restoration plans. Coordinate logistics for fieldwork, including scheduling, transportation, and equipment management. Driving to different locations for field work is required. Data Management and Analysis Communication and Coordination Training Support |
Expected Salary: | $22.98/hr - $25.00/hr |
Minimum Requirements: | Bachelor's degree in biology or a closely related life science field. Must have a valid FL driving license. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Background in vegetation, sediment, and geolocation sampling Knowledge of coastal dune restoration Tolerance for biting insects and hot humid field conditions is required. Experience utilizing computer programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAS, ArcView and Arcinfo etc. to organize research data for analysis and presentation |
