The Department of Physics is seeking an Engineer III. The Engineer must manage a multi-tasking environment, collaborate, and consult, with other engineers and physicists as well as students and postdoctoral researchers, supervise and train junior engineering personnel, and work with vendors for procurement and quality control. Other duties as assigned. As the largest college on campus, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is charged with teaching the university’s core curriculum. We are home to the humanities, the social and behavioral sciences, and the physical, natural, and mathematical sciences. Nearly every UF undergraduate takes at least one class in our college. Expected Salary: |
The salary range is $68,000 - $80,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience and the compensation includes a full benefits package. Minimum Requirements: |
A high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or Masters degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience. |
Preferred Qualifications: | The engineer candidate will be experienced and current, in several, but not necessarily all, of the areas listed below. Initiative and recommendations for improvements in experiment design, equipment, and methodology are also expected.
