About the Role
Academic Programs Officer is responsible for supporting the Timetabling Transformation project within the Melbourne Dental School as part of the Academic Programs team. Key responsibilities include providing administrative support, data collection, and process documentation, as well as maintaining relationships with stakeholders. Reporting to the Project Manager, the position also supports broader Academic Programs tasks and promotes continuous improvement and teamwork.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Data collection and data entry for current and future timetabling activities by following the Project timelines
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Academic Programs team, promote a supportive work environment, and foster a commitment to teamwork.
  • At times, and if related to the project, provide support to School committees
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of current University Policy and Procedures, and reliably follow these or provide compliant advice to others

Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, a keen learner with good work ethics, experience in administrative roles requiring project support and data collection, and high-level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service ethic. They will demonstrate the ability to work independently on diverse tasks while being an active team member, and possess advanced computer literacy, including the use of MS Office suite and other applications like Qualtrics and Zoom.

You will also have:

  • A completed degree with substantial relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and or education and training
  • Experience in a complex organisation, preferably within a university setting
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative role that required project support, data collection and the production of high-quality documents

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
