We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Community Nursing Liaison to join our dynamic team.

The Mersey-Leven Community Health Nursing and Home Care Service:

Mersey-Leven Community Health Nursing and Home Care Service provides nursing care at the community clinics in Devonport and Ulverstone, and nursing care, personal care and domestic assistance in client's homes. Area's covered include but are not limited to Devonport, Ulverstone, Latrobe, Port Sorell, Shearwater and Sheffield including rural districts of Gunns Plains, Nietta, Wilmot, Gowrie Park and Bakers Beach.

The team consists of Nurse Unit Manager, Associate Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, RNs, ENs and ancillary staff including home maintenance staff, home help/personal carers and administrative staff.

Permanent part time, day worker position working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you are available to join our team

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:


Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  2. Working with Aged Care/Commonwealth Home Support Program Check

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Holds or is working towards a relevant post graduate tertiary qualification
  2. Current Driver’s Licence

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
  1. crimes of violence
  2. sex related offences
  3. serious drug offences
  4. crimes involving dishonesty
  1. Identification check
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.

*as required by the Aged Care Act 1997, occupants of this role are required to undertake a conviction check assessment every three years.
