Job Description:

About You

You will be a motivated and capable individual with sound judgement combined with very strong analytical and communication skills.

You will use your strong skills, knowledge, and experience to provide high level advice and support the development and implementation of policies to achieve the Government’s objectives for the Government business portfolio. In doing so you will use your excellent stakeholder engagement skills to work through complex issues and negotiate outcomes with senior members of other agencies and Government businesses.

Your success requires the ability to lead the development of analysis and policy advice on complex issues; define and develop recommendations; clearly articulate difficult technical issues to stakeholders; and demonstrate leadership and initiative in a team environment.

About the Branch

The Shareholder Policy and Markets Branch is part of Treasury’s Economic and Financial Policy Division. Its key responsibility is to support the Government in managing its interests in Government businesses.

Hours per fortnight

Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part-time hours.

Desirable Requirements

A relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
