Job Description:

Please note this position is also being advertised as a Clinical Lead - Consultation Liaison (522413d) and only one position will be filled on merit. Please note this position is eligible for a Multi Disciplinary Allowance.

The primary role of the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Consultation Liaison is to:

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 28 February 2025.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $111,506 - $118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Location: Launceston


Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
    *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. A minimum of 3 years post graduate clinical experience in the context of an alcohol and other drug service
  2. Holds or is working towards a tertiary qualification in the alcohol and/or other drugs field
  3. Current Driver’s Licence

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
  1. crimes of violence
  2. sex related offences
  3. serious drug offences
  4. crimes involving dishonesty
  1. Identification check
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
