Job Description:

The role:

The Senior Rotational Pharmacist will provide a high standard of medication management in accordance with professional standards, best practice and person-centred care to inpatients and outpatients. This role will work across a range of pharmacy speciality areas including, but not limited to, Hospital in the Home; paediatrics; intensive care; acute medicine; emergency medicine; infectious diseases; compounding and cancer services; rehabilitation and sub-acute services. They will work under the general direction and guidance of the relevant Team Leader or manager and provide support and guidance to junior staff.

Details of Appointment

Multiple permanent full time and part time, shift-worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight commencing from when you are available to join our team

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $106,966 to $123,013 pro rata per annum in addition a market allowance of $10,000 per annum pro rata is approved until 17 May 2026, this allowance will be reviewed prior to expiry. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Pharmacy Board of
    Australia or completion of an overseas qualification eligible for skills assessment
    through the Australian Pharmacy Council.
  2. Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Current Driver’s Licence
  2. Completion of a Residency Program with the Australian & New Zealand College
    of Advanced Pharmacy (ANZCAP)
  3. Recognition as a Registrar or a Consultant in a relevant discipline by ANZCAP

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
  1. crimes of violence
  2. sex related offences
  3. serious drug offences
  4. crimes involving dishonesty
  1. Identification check
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
