Our Lyell House Aged Care Home located at the West Coast District Hospital is a place where people from across the caring professions come together to serve our community members in Queenstown and the surrounding areas. Are you passionate about enriching the lives of aged care Residents?

Lyell House is seeking an energetic, creative and engaging personality to join our team as an Activities Coordinator. Focussing on Resident choice and enjoyment, you will develop and implement an engaging Activity and Lifestyle program that respects and celebrates the diverse interests, customs, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds of our Residents, and provide individual support for residents.

The Role:

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to assess and understand each Resident's individual needs and interests, developing a comprehensive activities program that brings joy and fulfillment to their daily lives. You'll create, implement, and evaluate creative activity plans, working closely with care staff and volunteers to ensure the program's success.

Your responsibilities will include assessing each Resident's individual interests and needs, creating tailored activity plans that reflect these insights. You'll document all activities thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and accurate records. Additionally, you will assist Residents with daily activities such as mobility, toileting, and meals when required, ensuring they receive comprehensive support. You'll work closely with the care team led by the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Aged Care to prepare a projected activities calendar that aligns with best practices and meets the diverse needs of our Residents.

Details of Appointment:

Permanent part time shift-worker position, working up to 50 hours per fortnight, commencing as you are available to join our team.

Salary: $60,666 to $63,222 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
