Job Description:

The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Deputy Manager – Physiotherapy Services vacancy.


$109,108 to $116,218, per annum **

**AHP04 Please note that access to the progression point of Year 4Q salary of $116,218 is subject to successful completion of a relevant Master’s Degree as with Clause 10 of the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019

Period of Employment

Fixed term, full-time, day work, working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.

Please note part-time hours may also be considered.

The Deputy Manager - Physiotherapy Services (sub-acute) will:

  • Assist the Discipline Lead - Physiotherapy Service with the overall coordination, leadership and management of Physiotherapy Services for Tasmanian Health Service (THS) – South.
  • Be responsible for the efficient and effective functioning of designated sub-acute teams, providing direction and support to ensure a high standard of service provision. As a member of the physiotherapy service contribute to a learning culture and foster leadership, innovation and evidence driven patient care.
  • Provide high level clinical leadership and contribute to the system of clinical and corporate governance in Physiotherapy Services.
  • Contribute to the overall corporate governance of Physiotherapy Services within the context of Allied Health Professional Services at THS–South.
  • Deputise, as required, in the absence of the Discipline Lead - Physiotherapy Services.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
