The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for an Allied Health Professional (502814) vacancy.
Please note this is also being advertised as a Clinical Nurse Specialist - CAMHS (502814d) and positions will be filled on merit.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a well-established mental health service in the North West region of Tasmania with a highly skilled and passionate team of clinician's, who are seeking allied health staff (Psychologists, Occupational Therapists or Social Workers) to come and join our well supported and diverse team.

We are seeking allied health professionals with experience in assessment, case management, counselling and/or therapy, and within mental health or relevant/related sector would be ideal. You would be working within a multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with children, young people, and their families.

Our Aim:

CAMHS NW aims to provide timely access to evidence based, trauma informed treatment for children and young people (and their family/carers) who are struggling/experiencing difficulties with their mental health that is negatively impacting on them and their engagement in school, with peers and/or other aspects of their lives.

CAMHS in Tasmania is undergoing Reform with the exciting development and implementation of new teams working across the state to improve the mental health outcomes of young people and their support systems. Relocation support is available for successful candidates.

Details of Appointment:

Applicants should note three positions are available and will be filled based on merit.

2x Permanent, full time, day worker positions working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

1x Permanent, part time, day worker position working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $106,966 - $118,114 per annum + 11% superannuation

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
