Fortescue is now consistently producing 175-180 million tonnes of iron ore per year and has an exciting future ahead, establishing itself for future growth in a global market through innovation, product diversification and asset development.

Fortescue, through the recently created Fortescue Future Industries (FFI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fortescue Metals Group, is leading Fortescue’s decarbonisation and growth agendas. FFI is developing a portfolio of projects centred on the production of renewable hydrogen, ammonia, minerals and other value-added products.

Principal HP/HT Drilling Specialist

Location: Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday

This is an exciting opportunity to get in at the ground level of a rapidly expanding, dynamic, global green energy business. This role will be responsible for forming the strategy and building the capability in Geothermal HP/HT drilling. The successful candidate will assist with the strategic options assessment and costing for Well design and construction. This will include market and technology assessments, strategic operational planning, and safety design and management.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned High Pressure, High Temperature (HP/HT) drilling projects, with a focus on minimising capital and operating/maintenance costs within Geothermal energy projects and providing reliable inputs for cost modelling.
