Senior Occupational Therapist - Paediatrics (524821) (Multiple positions)

Hours\/Period of Appointment<\/h3>

Permanent, part time, day work working 68.4 hours per fortnight. Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. <\/p>

Please note that access to salaries beyond $100,517 is subject to qualifications and application to the personal upgrade scheme.<\/em> <\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Duties<\/h3>

Promote, develop and provide Occupational Therapy (OT) services in accordance with professional standards, best practice and evidence, to a predominately specialist or complex caseload, in order to improve occupational outcomes for patients.<\/p>

Provide clinical direction and professional supervision and support to level 1\/2 Occupational Therapists and undergraduate occupational therapy students.<\/p>

Assist with the development of occupational therapy clinical services through planning, evidence-based practice, quality improvement and research activities.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Essential Requirements<\/h3>

• Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.<\/li>
• Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.<\/li>
• The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:<\/li><\/ul>
  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:<\/div>

  a) Crimes of Violence
  b) Sex Related Offences
  c) Serious Drug Offences
  d) Crimes involving dishonesty
  
  2. Identification check
  
  3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.<\/div>

  Desirable Requirements <\/h3>

  • Current Driver's Licence.<\/li>
  • Holds or progressing towards a relevant post graduate qualifications. <\/li><\/ul><\/td><\/tr>
