Job Description:
The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Staff Specialist – Rheumatology vacancy.
You will provide a consulting role in Rheumatology and deliver inpatient and outpatient care to public and private patients of the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH). Be involved in the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and be actively involved in research. You will also get to undertake quality improvement activities.
The Royal Hobart Hospital is the State’s tertiary referral centre and is also the primary teaching hospital for the University of Tasmania School of Medicine.

Period of Employment
Permanent, part-time day work (with on-call) position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

Salary
A remuneration package comprising the Agreement base salary, relevant allowances and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.
- Salary range is in accordance with Salaried Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019

Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1-11
- Access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Levels 1, 2 and 3 as described in the Medical Practitioners (Public Sector) Award.

- Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
