Job Description:

The Department of Health have an exciting opportunity for motivated Enrolled Nurses to join their team located on the Comprehensive Care Medical Unit at North West Regional Hospital.

The Role:

Located on the Medical Unit at North West Regional Hospital, the Enrolled Nurse provides direct patient/client centred nursing care to assigned patients/clients, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse to achieve planned patient outcomes in partnership with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.

The Ward:

The Comprehensive Care Medical Unit at Northwest Regional Hospital consists of a 27 bed General Medical Ward, a 15-bed Isolation/ General Medicine Unit and an 8 bed Acute Medical Unit (AMU) for short stay patients. We specialise in providing care to people living with complex medical conditions including acute stroke, palliative care and end of life nursing , sepsis , respiratory and cardiac conditions and acute delirium. The Isolation area provides care for various transmission-based infections including COVID 19.

Staff will have the opportunity to be rotated through all areas of the Medical Unit.

Opportunities for ongoing professional development and learning of Comprehensive Care Medical Nursing are available, supported and encouraged to ensure optimal care for patients with our team of Nurse educators.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time and part time, shift-worker positions available, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $66,811 - $69,835 pro rata, per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)
