Job Description:

Tasmanian Neurosurgical Unit K8W – Royal Hobart Hospital

Seeking passionate and driven Registered Nurses to join the team on K8W, Tasmanian Neurosurgical Unit

Strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.

The Tasmanian Neurosurgical Unit:

The Statewide Neurosurgery Unit is a Level 6, state-wide tertiary centre receiving elective and emergency Neurosurgery and Neurology patients. The unit has a total of 24 beds inclusive 6 Neurosurgical High Dependency beds and 4 Neurology specialty beds.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full and part time, shift-worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $69,835 - $96,428 per annum (pro rata) + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
  1. crimes of violence
  2. sex related offences
  3. serious drug offences
