Job Description:
Please note this position is also being advertised as a Clinical Nurse Consultant - ADS Consultation and Liaison (528467) and only one position will be filled on merit.
The role:
As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality AOD services in accordance with Agency policy, legal requirements, and relevant professional competencies to clients, carers, support people, families and other professionals of the Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS), the ADS Consultation and Liaison Allied Health Professional will:
- Work collaboratively with ADS and other relevant stakeholders to provide input into the holistic, high quality, comprehensive, specialist Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) care provided to clients located within the service; and
- Ensure continuity of care for clients to and from the ADS Consultation and Liaison Service and the community setting in accordance with relevant transfer of care protocols.
- Provide leadership, direction and change management in the strategic development, implementation and ongoing management of a collaborative model of care between the Agency, broader Tasmanian Health Services, secure facilities and other stakeholders, as applicable to the incumbent’s specific portfolio.

Details of Appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 15th January 2024..
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $116,616 - $130,357 per annum + 11% superannuation
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $122,908 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
Location: Hobart
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
-
Occupational Therapist:
- Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or
-
Social Worker:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Full member of AASW or Eligible for membership with the AASW; [chose one option depending on any regulatory requirements to be met for the role] or
-
Psychologist:
- Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia
Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

- Have or is working towards relevant Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) post graduate qualification
- Current Driver’s Licence
