Job Opening Summary:

Are you a tech-savvy student looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of IT support? Join our dynamic team at ECE-IT and assist in providing critical computing support within our offices and lab spaces where Department IT services are managed. As a Part-Time Computing Support Technician, the majority of your work will involve desktop support and helping end-users with their support requests. In addition, you will have the chance to take on additional duties assigned by our IT Manager, ensuring you have a well-rounded experience that aligns with your academic pursuits and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential desktop support services to our department.
  • Assist in handling end-user generated support requests efficiently and professionally.
  • Collaborate closely with IT Manager on various assignments within Campus IT policies.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must be an active on-campus UF student.
  • Preferred knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and UNIX systems.

Shift Hours (Flexible Based on Course Schedule):

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Part-time position, 10-20 hours per week.
Expected Salary:

Competitive compensation: $15/hour.

Minimum Requirements:

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and UNIX systems.
