The Faculty of Health comprises three Schools, and fourteen disciplines including Nursing, Midwifery, Sport and Exercise Science, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Pharmacy, Public Health, Psychology, Counselling, Medical Radiation Science, Diagnostic Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Optometry and Speech Pathology. It is also home to the Faculty of Health Student-led Clinics. Health is the host faculty of the University of Canberra Research Institute for Sport and Exercise (UC-RISE), the UC-Health Research Institute (UC-H RI), and the Nursing and Midwifery Research Centre - SYNERGY, which is a partnership between University of Canberra and ACT Government Health Directorate. The Faculty of Health also plays a leading role in relation to the development of the University's Health Precinct. The Precinct includes the Health Hub incorporating Student-led clinics, the University of Canberra Public Hospital, the Canberra Specialist Medical Centre and a 150-bed aged care facility (scheduled to open in late 2021).

The successful applicant will be expected to make contributions to the undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching in the Discipline of Nursing, as well as contributing to the faculty research themes. This is your opportunity to be part of a new and innovative learning environment committed to developing high-quality nursing graduates, who with strong education and diverse work-integrated learning experiences, will provide high-quality nursing care.

Reporting to the Discipline Lead you will work collaboratively to design, deliver and coordinate an engaging and inventive learning environment. You will also play a key role in the development of active research programs, seeking funding, conducting research and publishing in relevant studies.

You will be known for your high-level interpersonal skills, hold tertiary qualification/s (or equivalent) in nursing, including a Doctoral level qualification relevant to Nursing, and eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
