Job Description:

This lecturer will teach bacteriology, mycology, and parasitology content in all venues of education for the Department of Molecular Genetics & Microbiology: medical education, on campus graduate education, and distance graduate education. This includes preclinical medical education, the Biomedical Sciences PhD program, the departmental master's program, the departmental graduate certificate in Medical Microbiology, and the distance education master's degree program in the department of Microbiology and Cell Science. The medical lectures are delivered in person. The graduate courses are either fully online, asynchronous or are flipped (prerecorded lectures with a weekly in-person discussion). This lecturer will be the course director for graduate courses with the possible exception of GMS 6121, which is shared with virology faculty. Medical education is highly collaborative and involves extensive collaboration and coordination with other medical teaching faculty.

Expected Salary:

Annual salary range is $75,000 - $90,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

A doctorate (foreign equivalent acceptable) in Microbiology or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates should have demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication and interpersonal relationships. Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in both in-person and online teaching.
