Job Description: |
Responsible for BIM Execution Plan (BEP) stewardship for all UF Major and Large-Scale Minor projects. Establishes UF guidelines, protocols, and expectations on a project-specific basis. Ensures that appropriate Contract and BEP language for each project is included, updated, and adhered to throughout the individual project lifecycle. Responsible for augmenting, updating, and maintaining BIM Execution Plan, BIM Guidelines & Standards document templates, and coordinating project-specific modifications with AE Design Team, CM, and various UF stakeholders. Responsible for continuous development and managing BIM standards and content, including design standards, naming conventions, families, workflows, and processes for single and multi-discipline efficiencies for BIM and CAD. Collaborates with AE Design Team & Construction Manager BIM personnel in the delivery of “Final As-Built” BIM models and data collection of “As-Installed” equipment for integration with UF Operations & Maintenance software (AIM).
Assist the Space and GIS team in maintaining an accurate space account system including, but not limited to, textual space data, tracking of related documents, floor plans and/or 3D BIM models. Coordinates updating existing University Revit models to a Digital Twin standard.
Conducts routine facility surveys to verify and document existing conditions of all University owned or occupied facilities. Surveys include, but are not limited to, verification of BIM model or CAD floor plan, space data, occupants, and other existing conditions. Updates the Space Tracking and Reporting System to maintain and timely record university space. Space information is coded according to the Postsecondary Educational Facilities Inventory and Classification Manual and the Board of Governors Facilities Space File. Provides appropriate reporting to university entities, both in print and digital format.
Collaborates with AE Design Team & Construction Manager BIM personnel in the delivery of “Final As-Built” BIM models and data collection of “As-Installed” equipment for integration with UF Operations & Maintenance software (AIM).
Performing Revit model QA/QC. Training team in best practices of BIM and account standards.

Work hours are Monday thru Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

Preferred Qualifications: |
Prefer Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management or related fields, plus at least two years of professional experience in use of BIM Technologies. Graduate education in architecture, construction management or related fields is preferred and may be substituted year for year for a portion of the professional experience. Effective communication/presentation skills and speaking/writing abilities are essential. Familiarity with quantitative and computer techniques and procedures, policies, guidelines of Florida higher education administration is helpful but not required. Knowledge and experience with BIM Execution Plans, MEP, VDC, Digital Twins, Digital Twin environments and parametric family creation is desired.
