We are looking for a passionate and experienced Security Solutions Consultant/Advisor who will work alongside our technology and business teams to provide advice and guidance on appropriate cybersecurity practices to keep our customers safe. This will include taking ownership, developing, and directing the implementation of pragmatic and sensible security solutions.

The role plays an essential part in Sportsbet’s product delivery ecosystem. Your primary focus will be to deliver pragmatic security guidance and guardrails to enable our delivery teams to deliver secure products and services at pace. Additionally, contributing to broader initiatives such as ongoing maturity uplift and other cyber security objectives will also be required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Proactive collaboration with business stakeholders to provide appropriate security, requirements, design and control guidance including performing security assessments early and throughout project lifecycles.
• Identify and document re-usable approaches to security, including developing and delivering standardised requirements, patterns and guardrails to allow teams to deliver security autonomously.
• Review/analyse technical products and vendor solutions to define security solutions that meet business needs within risk appetite.
• Contribute to the ongoing uplift program of work with our security, risk, compliance, technology, delivery and portfolio teams, driving maturity of processes and practices to ensure security is delivered in Sportsbet’s evolving delivery lifecycle.

About You

• Passionate, proactive, enthusiastic, self motivated team player who’s always willing to learn.
• Security Architecture experience, including threat modelling, security design and delivery and risk management.
• Comfortable communicating complex technical risks into business consumable soundbytes for non technical senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable saying “No, but…” and offering alternative, more secure solutions to stakeholders where required.
• Experience delivering security in AWS cloud technologies and environments embracing agile and DevOps ways of working.
• Awareness of emerging security trends, including threats and countermeasures
• Fundamental understanding and experience spanning digital, data, and application development areas including CI/CD, automation, penetration testing.
• Working knowledge of NIST 800-53, OWASP, PCI-DSS, ISO27001, Privacy Act
• Working knowledge of Security Architecture frameworks such as SABSA highly regarded.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
