Job Description:

The Department of Health is seeking an experienced public health leader to provide strategic leadership and operational management lead within the Launceston General Hospital (LGH).

About the role

The Executive Director Operations and Performance will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the LGH to enable the delivery of quality services.

The position will provide high level strategic advice to the Chief Executive Hospitals North to ensure strategic reforms and business improvements are delivered and key health outcomes for the community are achieved within approved budget, and resourcing parameters.

A key priority will be to provide leadership and establish goals and strategies for the implementation and ongoing management of major initiatives, including workforce planning, service development and restructuring and LGH master planning, within the wider framework of the Agency.

A desirable requirement of the role is a current drivers licence and satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study in health with an appropriate clinical background.

The role is a Senior Executive office for a contract period of up to 5 years and offers an attractive remuneration package, which incorporates salary ranging from $173,328 to $190,558 p.a. plus 11% superannuation and private use of a fully maintained vehicle.
