Job Description:
The role:
- Provide high quality Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment and support to Palliative Care clients in the community.
- Maintain the Code of Ethics of Occupational Therapy Australia Limited, the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists.

Primary Health North - Allambi 33-39 Howick Street, Launceston - Specialist Palliative Care Service North
- Community sector of Specialist Palliative Care Service in Northern Tasmania
- Focus on the support of complex palliative patients, with aim to improve functional capacity & ability to remain safely at home
- Working within a multidisciplinary team and supporting primary providers
Details of Appointment
Permanent, part time, day worker position working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $103,608 - $119,430 pro rata, per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
- Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
- Current Driver’s Licence
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Holds or working towards relevant post graduate tertiary qualifications
- Holds or progressing accreditation through Occupational Therapy Australia
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
- Conviction checks in the following areas:
- crimes of violence
- sex related offences
- serious drug offences
- crimes involving dishonesty
