Duties

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the delivery of core financial requirements comprising the preparation of the agency annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant financial reporting and taxation obligations, and maintenance of internal costing and asset financial records.

In the context of the selection criteria, to be successful in the position applicants will have:

  • knowledge of the Australian Accounting Standards, Treasurer’s Instructions, statutory and other applicable financial and tax requirements;
  • good organisational and self-management skills including the capacity to organise, schedule and deliver outputs with a stakeholder focus;
  • the ability to communicate precisely and succinctly to internal and external stakeholders;

Desirable Requirements

Completion or partial completion of relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional affiliation.
