Job Description:

The Southern region is Tasmania’s most populated area with approximately 250,000 people. It is also the location of both the State capital Hobart, and the main acute hospital in the region, the Royal Hobart Hospital(RHH). The 684 bed Royal Hobart Hospital is Australia’s second oldest hospital, (opened 1804) and is currently undergoing a phased transformational renovation program to further expand and modernise its services and facilities as part of our ambitious Royal Hobart Hospital Masterplan 2020-2050 program.

The RHH is a major clinical teaching and research centre working closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. The hospital provides a range of treatments and services, including acute, sub-acute, mental health and aged care inpatient and ambulatory services. As well as caring for patients who are admitted to hospital many services are also offered to patients when they are discharged, in emergency situations through the Emergency Department and at specialist clinics on a doctor’s referral. The Area:

State, tertiary referral ward for Cardiology and Cardiothoracic. Our services include: Electrophysiology; Structural Heart; Interventional Cardiology; Cardiothoracic and Thoracic. We have 27 beds that include 5 CCU beds. We have a large group of friendly staff working in a dynamic, MDT environment. Recently developed CCU course for skills acquisition.

Details of Appointments

Multiple permanent, full time, shift-worker (fully rotational) position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Base Salary: $69,835 - $96,428 per annum plus 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
