- Based at the Townsville, Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas.
- Remuneration is at HEWL 6 $83,115 - $90,022 per annum
- Up to 17% employer superannuation contributions.
Enable the delivery of contemporary undergraduate and postgraduate technical teaching activities and support research efficiency through provisions of expert scientific and technical advisory services, maintaining specialised equipment and facilities for Civil Engineering, to ensure staff and students have a unique hands-on learning experience.

- Civil Engineering experience combined with Geomechanical lab operations, specialising in all aspects of concrete and soils.
- Experience with testing concrete/cement for example slump, stress, compression, crack and vibration testing.
- Use of specialised equipment for testing concrete/cement for example shear, triaxle and Cmod testing methods.
- Soil sample preparation and testing.
- Experience with different types of moulds, their construction, preparation and uses, for different types of concrete and cement.
- Current First Aid Certificate;
- Current C’ Class Queensland drivers license; and
- Current Working with Children Blue Card.
- It is highly desirable for the candidate to hold a forklift licence and experience working with soil density gauges.
- The successful candidate will also be required to undergo training to work as a Radiation Safety Officer, and therefore willing to obtain an RSO license.
