Senior Physiotherapist - Team Leader Musculoskeletal
The role:
As Team leader you will provide high level clinical leadership and contribute clinical services to the Physiotherapy Services Musculoskeletal Team. You will be responsible for efficient and effective team operations to support our mission to optimise the health and wellbeing of all Tasmanians through high-quality care. As a leader with significant impact, you will embody the services values of teamwork, integrity and care for people.
You will participate in ongoing service development and strategic management of the Musculoskeletal Team in a multidisciplinary context, and in collaboration with other allied health, nursing, and medical disciplines locally and state-wide. As a member of the Physiotherapy Service, you will contribute to a learning culture and foster leadership, innovation and evidence driven patient care.

The team:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic senior physiotherapist to lead our Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Team.
The Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Team is one of six integral teams within the Physiotherapy Service that supports the patients journey through the THS-HS health system from inpatients to outpatients. This team includes the clinical areas of Emergency Medicine, Rheumatology, persistent pain, specialist surgical outpatients’ clinics, hands, burns and plastics and orthopaedic inpatients. These are staffed by a combination of clinical leads, senior staff, rotational staff and allied health assistants.
Details of Appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $116,616 to $124,147 pro-rata, per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
Please note that access to salaries beyond $122,908 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
