Job Description:
Please note this position is also being advertised as Clinical Nurse Specialist - CAMHS (528048) and one position will be filled on merit.
The role:
- Participate in the development and delivery of a contemporary youth-focused clinical service. The role will provide primary consultations for clients and their families or carers, secondary consultations for other service-providers and the implementation of specialised programs.
- Provide holistic, developmentally informed, evidence-based assessments and interventions for youth clients with emerging or existing major and complex mental health problems.
- Function as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.
- Prepare specialised reports as required.

Details of Appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location: Hobart, Tasmania
Salary: $103,608 - $119,430 per annum + 11% superannuation
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $111,964 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia and Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia and Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia; or
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW; or
- Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia and is a full member of Speech Pathology Australia or is eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Current Working with Children Registration

- Current Driver’s Licence
- Post graduate experience in mental health in relation to CAMHS
