Tasmanian Health Service
2024 New Graduate Permanent Fulltime Radiation Therapy Position - $87,422 per annum
$25,000 Scholarship Available
To be Tasmanian is to value quality over quantity. We create, preserve, and protect the unusual. With passion and perseverance, with an embrace of our history and our stories, we quietly pursue the extraordinary. Could you be Tasmanian?
You could start your Radiation Therapy career anywhere. What’s different about Tasmania is our culture and our lifestyle. You will be encouraged to be yourself, to learn, to grow and to develop meaning in your work. You will have a powerful connection to your patients and your colleagues, and the community will encourage your success. Our isolation helps drive a culture of creation and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and like the only future worth pursuing.
This is an opportunity to secure yourself a permanent position in a highly respected Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre, establishing your career within a team who make a big impact on the place where they work.
Here you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to breath-taking coastlines, National Parks, and incredible fresh produce crafted by locals. After a hard day at work, instead of sitting in traffic for an hour. You can decompress with a relaxed walk through the beautiful parks and rivers of your beautiful home city, or grab your bike and enjoy world class mountain bike tracks.
We offer an inclusive and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practice that sees our Radiation Therapists as a key component of the broader multidisciplinary team who guide patients through the entirety of their treatment journey. We provide External Beam Radiotherapy, seamless Varian planning to treatment and we use 2 Matched Truebeam Linacs. We also provide the states only brachytherapy service as well as stereotactic treatment.
The W.P. Holman Clinic Launceston has a diverse team of passionate locals and new Tasmanian adventurers who will welcome your energy and experiences into the group dynamic. We’ll actively support your career development through dedicated education support, generous CPD allowance, and a teaching culture, embracing the fact that our service and community benefits through your ongoing growth.
Ben, our Deputy Chief Radiation Therapists, joined us from New South Wales in 2006 and has never looked back. He is most happy to hear from you to answer questions about his journey to Tasmania, and how he finds working in the health service and team.
