Registered Nurse – Permanent Full-time and Part Time – Multiple Positions

Tasmanian Health Service – West Coast District Hospital

To be Tasmanian is to value quality over quantity. We create, preserve, and protect the unusual. With quiet confidence, with passion and perseverance, we pursue the extraordinary.

You could be a Registered Nurse anywhere in the world. But working on the West Coast, you’ll understand the impact you make every day. It’s an exciting and rewarding place to work and you will make a valuable contribution to a small community while enjoying the lifestyle of a rugged and remote landscape. Our remoteness helps drive a culture of invention and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and… like the only future worth pursuing. Here you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to breath-taking coastlines, National Parks or award-winning fresh produce – all right on your doorstep. Whether you love mountain bike riding, bush walking or exploring history, the West Coast offers so many amazing experiences.

Our West Coast District Hospital is a place where people from across the caring professions come together to serve our community members in Queenstown and the surrounding areas. Here, you are encouraged to be your authentic self, to pursue your passions, and to bring your own unique characteristics into our team.

We are small enough in Tasmania for you to shape and influence your work and make a real difference every day. Yet we are big enough for you to feel part of something important, somewhere you can belong and be surrounded by diversity, innovation, and friendships. We’ll look after you from the very beginning, ensure you are fully inducted and welcomed into our team and culture.

The Role and the Team: The Department of Health are seeking suitably qualified applicants for the role of Registered Nurse to work in the West Coast District Hospital.

The West Coast Hospital includes 9 sub-acute care beds inclusive of 1 Palliative Suite, an Emergency First Response Unit, a 16 bed Aged Care Residential facility and visiting services such as Radiology, Diabetic Clinic, Physiotherapy and Podiatry.

As a Registered Nurse, you will strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.
