The company is based in New York with offices in Melbourne, California, New Jersey, Florida, Oregon and Scotland. 85% of FanDuel Group is owned by the big 6 US Sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, College Basketball and College Football) and we have the opportunity to create a market leading prospection on these sports.
The Role
Sports Traders at FanDuel are the people behind the odds that our customers bet on. We utilise stats, in-house models, industry news, and our opinions to help formulate what we believe are the most accurate odds, and then manage those odds throughout their lifecycle. This includes moving prices when breaking news hits or using our in-house models to move prices live during games.
Our customers are the most important thing to us, so coming up with new markets for them to bet on, settling their bets in a timely manner and all aspects of their experience are going to be important part of this role for you.
Key responsibilities include:
- In time, you will be able to compile your own odds on a range of different markets and games using our various sports models as well as statistics and trends.
- You will monitor our prices and make moves where necessary, taking into consideration things like player news, customer behavior, industry prices, etc.
- Identify data trends post-event which will allow us to implement the best practices going forward.
- Collaboration with the wider FanDuel risk team to manage our liabilities, help identify customer patterns and ensuring we remain compliant across our different jurisdictions.
The FanDuel team in Melbourne adopt a flexible 5 day working week policy based on customer needs to ensure a great work-life balance for our staff. There is a requirement for weekend work, but shifts will generally fall between 8am – 6.30pm allowing you to still have your nights!
About You
If you have a high attention to detail, remain calm under pressure, can communicate effectively, and collaborate well within teams, then this could be the role for you. Putting our customers front of mind is the most important in this role, the rest we can teach you – so we are open to recent graduates!

We don’t expect anyone to walk in the door and know everything at the start, so we take our training seriously and make sure that the successful candidate is well supported. This role is a hybrid position that has ability to work from home. At the start of your role, we require most days to be in the office to help with training and onboarding.
