The Role:
- Assist children and young people to recover from their experience of family violence through the delivery of developmentally appropriate specialist services and therapeutic support including play therapy, counselling and other appropriate forms of intervention.
- Undertake psychometric and social assessments of children, young people and their caregivers using recognised assessment methods.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, case management services and referrals to other relevant agencies, where required.
- Provide a reference point to Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) North West, on the impact of the experience of family violence on child and adolescent development, including the associated impact of trauma.
- Contribute to and participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, including group sessions.

Details of Appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

Salary:
$101,108 to $119,430 per annum + 10.5% superannuation
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $109,964 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $724 per annum for the ability to accrue fund up to five years
- Post graduate qualification salary advancement where applicable
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Current Working with Children Registration
- Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Current Driver’s Licence
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Registered Psychologist, giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society, with relevant tertiary qualifications and clinical experience in the human services sector.

- sex related offences
- serious drug offences
