Classification Title:

Laboratory Technician II
Job Description:

Transformation of citrus via protoplast transformation, and regeneration of genome edited or transformed plants.

Transformation of citrus via epicotyl transformation, and regeneration of genome edited or transformed plants.

Development and maintaining citrus tissue cultures.

Greenhouse work including grafting.

Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Expected Salary:

$19.64 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of related experience or a high school diploma and four years of related experience in plant science or working with plants or tissue culture. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience
Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with training in tissue culture is preferred.

Skill in the use of scientific lab equipment.

Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
