Job Description:

As part of the Reporting and Analytics Team, you will participate in projects/tasks working with other analysts in implementing analytical reports, dashboards, interactive visualizations, data science/ML/AI, Python, Java, JavaScript, R, and/or SPSS/SAS for various customers across the University. This role requires an individual with deep technical experience, excellent leadership skills, outstanding business acumen and a broad range of knowledge to work with various teams across campus, as well as senior leadership. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. High attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity are a must.

Full-time TEAMS employees will accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at a rate of 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year.

Vacation accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status, and are intended to give the flexibility to enable units to close from December 26 to 31 when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.

Expected Salary:

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience.
Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience but does not negate the minimum degree requirement(s).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:

    • Assist with maintaining reporting products and fulfilling service requests for reporting and analytic products; Research customer inquiries and supports reporting and analytic end-users.
    • Identifies and analyzes problems, tests, debugs code, troubleshoots reports, and ensures quality control practices are followed.
    • Work in conjunction with other IT professionals and core office staff members to maintain existing systems and to fulfill requests for enhancements to these systems and related business processes.
    • Experience with IBM Cognos systems (including Framework Manager, Report Studio, Dynamic Cubes, Dashboarding, Modules, Datasets); Data discovery and visualization systems (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI); PeopleSoft enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
    • Structured Query Language (SQL); Oracle databases; Extract, transform, load (ETL) toolsets; Scripting languages (e.g. Python, Perl)
