Department Administrator
Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster: Perth-based, Monday to Friday, plus Rotational On-Call (nights/ weekends)
Fortescue is seeking an enthusiastic and committed, experienced Department Administrator to join our Operations Planning Department. Reporting to the Administration Supervisor, the successful candidate will be an individual who prides themselves on their proactiveness, attention to detail and organisational skills. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract for an individual with high level, professional and efficient administration skills and willingness to learn and can-do attitude
This position is Perth-based, full time (Monday to Friday) with rotational on-call duties for ad-hoc coverage of nights and weekends.
Key responsibilities include:
- Efficient, proactive and excellent time management skills, manages priorities and adapts to changing and complex priorities and time frames
- Processing travel and accommodation requirements for site teams, new starters and visitors, including travel roster management and auditing/ reporting and coordinating mobilisation requirements
- Raising purchase requisitions, processing work orders and invoices
- Assist with team and department events planning and coordination (i.e. workshops, forums, etc.)
- Liaising with site teams, corporate and site departments and external contractors relating to administrative duties and support
- Day to day general administration and general support tasks (e.g. coordinating meeting facilities, formatting of documentation, presentations, reports) as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 24 months' experience in a similar role, experience within the mining industry is desirable
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP, experience with Serko or Workforce (or similar travel management system) is desirable
- Demonstrated experience in cost control
- Demonstrated ability to be organised, self-driven and motivated and solutions-focused
- Excellent time management skills, strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise work, managing competing deadlines to ensure tasks are completed with both accuracy and efficiency
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
