About the role

The Chief Executive - Ambulance Tasmania will be responsible and accountable for the coordination and ongoing development of sustainable medical and other transport arrangements to maximise patient safety, access to services and health outcomes, to minimise areas of risk to government and to ensure the sustainability of health service delivery.
The position will work closely with the Deputy Secretary Community Mental Health and Wellbeing to ensure strategic reforms and business improvements are delivered and key health outcomes for the
community are achieved within approved budget, and resourcing parameters.
A key priority will be to focus on an extensive program of cultural transformation, including lead reform within ambulance services in the state and represent the interests of Tasmania at both a national and
international level through the Council of Ambulance Authorities and other entities as required.

An essential requirement of the role is a current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People. A current drivers licence and satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary
institution, such as management or emergency management are also desirable.
The role is a Senior Executive office for a contract period of up to 5 years and offers an attractive
remuneration package, which incorporates salary ranging from $200,933 to $221,027p.a. plus 10.5% superannuation and private use of a fully maintained vehicle.
