Job Description:

The role:

In accordance with conventional practices, methods and standards, the Phlebotomy Technician provides phlebotomy and specimen collection services to inpatient and outpatient clients.

Duties:

Perform phlebotomy and the collection of various pathology samples.

Prepare clients for phlebotomy procedures which includes explaining procedures to clients.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, shift work (set rotational), working 66 hours per fortnight

Fixed term, part time, shift work (set rotational), working 52 hours per fortnight, commencing 22 July 2022 until 21 February 2023

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $69,574 - $75,199 pro-rata, per annum + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

A Certificate III, or equivalent Diploma, from a registered tertiary institution, or an equivalent qualification, appropriate to the nature of the work.

Please note:

Some phlebotomy training will be provided for those successful applicants who have training in a similar field where venepuncture is performed. e.g., veterinary nursing and enrolled nursing.
