Roster: <\/strong>5\/2 Roster (Mon to Fri)<\/p>\n

In support of Fortescue\u2019s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Based out our new Hazelmere R&D facility and reporting to the green fleet development Engineering Manager, we are presently looking for an experienced Fuels Principal<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Key accountabilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
• Lead and mentor a team of multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver the Fuels Engineering deliverables<\/li>\n
• Coordinate activity with other engineering disciplines including working with your peers to deliver the projects<\/li>\n
• Participate in design reviews and approve detailed designs<\/li>\n
• Ability to adjust to change quickly and adapt to new requirements<\/li>\n
• Providing technical guidance to the project management team for all fuel storage, distribution and fuel cell engineering related works being carried out<\/li>\n
• Proactively deliver on the company\u2019s stretch targets<\/li>\n
• Develop technical specifications to meet project specific objectives.<\/li>\n
• Interpret, manage and approval of engineering drawings, documents, specifications and scopes.<\/li>\n
• Resolution of technical and design issues.<\/li>\n
• Ensure compliance to the project management process by project owners<\/li>\n
• Provide guidance regarding project budget, cash flow and schedule for existing and future projects<\/li>\n
• Liaising with a range of key stakeholders on all technical aspects of projects<\/li>\n
• Providing regular updates to the Engineering Manager including work progress, risks and priorities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Qualifications and skills required:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  \n
  • Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering degree<\/li>\n
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience within the oil and gas, automotive, heavy machinery or related industry and comfortable to work in the capacity of a subject matter expert<\/li>\n
  • Demonstrate experience with leading a technical team of professional engineers<\/li>\n
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring qualified engineers<\/li>\n
  • Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and in multidiscipline teams<\/li>\n
  • High commitment to safety and demo<\/li>\n
  • Experience with ERP , SAP and CMMS work management<\/li>\n
  • Experience in preparing detailed scope of works<\/li>\n
  • Experience in participating \/ coordinating in the purchasing tender process<\/li>\n
  • Experience in contractor engagement and contractor management process<\/li>\n
  • Experience with design, manufacturing, and operation of heavy mobile equipment is desirable\n

    • Experience with High pressure gaseous and low temperature liquid storage vessel engineering activity including concept definition, detail design, fabrication, commissioning and start up<\/li>\n
    • Gaseous and liquid on vehicle and off vehicle fuel storage, re-fuelling, distribution and technology aspects of Green Fleet Development projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner (desirable)<\/li>\n
    • Hydrogen fuel cell engineering activity including concept definition, product development, detail design, integration and validation (desirable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Experience in safety design review, HAZOP, HAZID, PID review, SIL is desirable<\/li>\n
    • Thorough understanding of applicable regulatory and safety standards for gaseous fuel storage, distribution and use within the mining, rail and marine industries is desirable<\/li>\n
    • Excellent interpersonal awareness with ability to work well in a team<\/li>\n
    • Proactive and self-motivated, with a drive for excellence<\/li>\n

    • Skilled in problem solving rapidly<\/li>\n
