Are you a skilled veterinary technician who loves both learning and sharing your knowledge and is ready to join a busy team seeing cats and dogs with a wide variety of issues requiring orthopedic and soft tissue surgical intervention? We are looking for our next team member in Small Animal Surgery! Nursing staff in our service assist with appointments, small procedures under sedation and anesthesia and in both sterile and aseptic conditions, diagnostic workups including digital radiography and CT, and and a host of other surgical nursing skills in addition to client communication. Members of our team work closely with boarded veterinary surgeons, residents/interns, and veterinary students in a fast paced teaching and learning environment We offer competitive wages, benefits including health insurance and paid leave and holidays, and a team-oriented approach to each day. An individual in this position must possess excellent communication skills and be proactive in determining the needs of the hospital. A successful applicant should enjoy learning new things and can quickly adapt to a changing environment. They need to possess a good base knowledge of veterinary medicine and express a positive attitude in their daily work. The individual must be able to communicate effectively, demonstrate critical thinking and professionalism. This is a full-time, benefited position and is considered essential personnel. A post-offer education verification, background check, and health assessment are required. |
Expected Salary: |
$18.00 – $25.00 per hour. |
