Classification Title:

Postdoctoral Research Scientist - UF Health Cancer Center
Job Description:

We are seeking outstanding individuals focused on research related to cancer population sciences, including but not limited to the intersection of cancer and aging, data science, cancer early detection, cancer survivorship research, and health disparities. In addition to contributing to the ongoing epidemiologic and clinical research, the candidate will have the opportunity to participate in T32-TICART (team-based cancer research training) and to explore their own independent scientific interests. The successful candidate is expected to work toward developing a line of research with an effort to obtain a career development award and/or other external funding to support an eventual faculty position.

We are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this position.

Expected Salary:

$54,000 - $66,600. Commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Requirements:

A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., DrPH, M.D., D.V.M., DDS etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., DrPH, M.D., D.V.M., DDS etc.) in Epidemiology, Public Health or a related field.
  • Excellent scientific writing and strong oral communications skills
  • The ability to work effectively, collaboratively, and collegially with colleagues.
  • Experience in performing statistical analyses using SAS, R, or STATA programming language.
